Industrial Construction: Nevada State Prisons

Ely/Indian Springs/Jean, Nevada
In late 1999, Reyman Bros. remodeled three culinary facilities in Nevada state prisons. The $1.3 million project upgraded prison kitchen facilities in Jean, Indian Springs, and Ely, Nevada. Reyman Bros. replaced existing quarry tile floors with new quarry tile and constructed a new epoxy composite floor over a raised concrete slab, replaced walls and plumbing, and brought accessibility up to ADA code. Reyman Bros. implemented the projects in phases to keep the kitchens up and running. At the maximum-security Ely prison, a temporary kitchen was set up to feed the inmates during construction.
